Description of CME Course
Cesarean delivery rates have steadily increased over the past few decades without an equivalent improvement in maternal or neonatal outcomes and the use of non-invasive interventions to promote vaginal birth seems to be a lost art. This is part 3 of a 3-part series. Part 1 reviews the statistics related to cesarean birth and case studies of malpractice claims involving unnecessary cesareans. Part 2 covers the revised definitions and recommendations related to safe prevention of cesarean birth that promote vaginal birth. Part 3 offers specific interventions and positioning techniques to promote vaginal delivery. Key risk mitigation strategies are included in each part.
