Description of CME Course
Patient selection is an important issue, especially in cosmetic plastic surgery. Sound patient selection criteria and screening measures can help reduce the risk of claims related to unexpected outcomes and patient dissatisfaction. This monograph focuses on several special risk issues in patient selection of candidates for elective cosmetic surgical procedures: smoking, body dysmorphic disorder, obesity, and obstructive sleep apnea.
Diplomate Engagement
Pre-and Post-test results are provided to diplomate and an evaluation survey is issued upon completion of the course. A follow-up post-activity survey is also issued 3-4 months after completion that asks what practice changes have been made.
