Description of CME Course
When there is an unanticipated result of a treatment or procedure, the involved patient and the family usually want to know what happened. When what occurred is a consequence of the disease process or is a known risk of treatment, the discussion is fairly straightforward. When an error in care is discovered, talking about this matter is a more arduous task. This activity provides practical examples of disclosure conversations using the strategies discussed in part 1.
