Description of CME Course
The intent of this educational activity is to provide updates to the clinical community on current controversies in cardiovascular diseases. There are a number of issues in treating patients with cardiovascular diseases including optimal approaches, medical versus surgical therapy, minimally invasive versus conventional surgery. Moreover, there are a number of medical dilemmas including optimal medical therapies for patients with valve or coronary artery disease.

Educational Objectives
1. Explain the unique management issues associated with the many clinical presentations of coronary artery disease
2. Understand vascular biology and clinical guidelines to promote good patient care.
3. Recognize valvular, heart muscle and volume data that are essential to the effective management of patients with cardiovascular disease and technical limitations that may affect its accuracy, and information about the patient's disease process.
4. Describe pharmacology, coronary physiology, complications, vascular access, radiation safety as they relate to interventional cardiology
5. Identify those patients in whom more aggressive, earlier interventions are appropriate.
