Description of CME Course

Anesthesia SimSTAT – MRI will provide you with the opportunity to practice the management of patients receiving anesthetic care for MRI. In this course, you will practice the management of a patient who requires rescue from a deeper level of sedation than intended and subsequent complications.

This course aims to:

Promote patient and staff safety in the MRI environment
Prevent the occurrence of MRI-associated accidents
Identify potential equipment-related hazards in MRI
Promote optimal patient management and reduce adverse outcomes associated with MRI

This activity contributes to the CME component of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s redesigned Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology™ (MOCA®) program, known as MOCA 2.0®. Please consult the ABA website, www.theABA.org, for a list of all MOCA 2.0 requirements.

Up to 5 CME credits contribute to the Patient Safety CME component of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology® (MOCA®) program.

This activity contributes to the Quality Improvement (Part 4) requirement of the American Board of Anesthesiology’s (ABA) redesigned Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology Program® (MOCA®), known as MOCA 2.0™.
