Description of CME Course
Most initial diagnoses of adult ADHD occur in the primary care setting. However, a survey of US primary care practitioners found that only about a third of respondents thought they had sufficient knowledge about adult ADHD. This statistic indicates there are potential barriers to recognition and management of the disorder. This educational activity provides information to aid in the diagnosis and to help improve the care of patients with adult ADHD. It also includes recommendations to assist physicians and other practitioners in reducing professional liability risks associated with adult ADHD.
